2025 University Commencement
Friday, May 16, 7:30 p.m.
Each spring, UT Dallas hosts University Commencement. The campus-wide celebration also kicks off a week of School Graduation Ceremonies. The annual event includes a grand procession, commencement address, presentation of graduates by the deans, ceremonial conferring of degrees by the president, entertainment, cosmic light show and an after-party.
Instructions for Graduates
Graduates participating in the grand procession should arrive wearing regalia and gather for lineup on Chess Plaza at 6:45 p.m. See the event map (pdf) for parking and road closure information. Please limit personal items to necessities only; storage is not provided. To make sure you are prepared for the big day, please read and share this information with your guests:
